Montréal, September 7, 2021 – THANATOFILMS est fier d’annoncer la première mondiale d’ASMODEUS (10 minutes, super 8mm) en COMPÉTITION OFFICIELLE à la 54ième édition du prestigieux Sitges – Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantastic de Catalunya qui se déroulera du 7 au 17 octobre 2021 à Sitges, Espagne.
Écrit et réalisé par le cinéaste primé Québécois Éric Falardeau (Thanatomorphose, The Thing from the Lake,Crépuscule, Coming Home), Asmodeus est un rituel cinématographique, un autoportrait sanglant, un voyage vers l’illumination chargé d’images occultes dans lequel un homme invoque et rencontre trois incarnations féminines différentes du démon lubrique Asmodeus.
Selon Téléfilm Canada, « le Festival international du film fantastique de Catalogne – Sitges est le plus important festival de cinéma fantastique au monde. Ce festival a été nommé « festival qualifié » par l’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences®, ce qui permet à Sitges de présenter les courts métrages primés dans les sections Officiel et Animation comme candidats pour les Oscars®. I’m really proud to be back at the Blood in the Snow Film Festival (Toronto, Canada) a few years after our special screening of Thanatomorphose in 2013 where Kayden Rose won the best actress award and David Scherer & Rémy Couture won best special effects.
